"I do think being at Highgrove was a lovely occasion for them because they're out of the way, they're out of prying eyes. I drove past the gates yesterday and there were actually photographers at the gates trying to get photos of people coming in just after lunchtime."

"On the inside of Highgrove when the King's there, it's very private," Stooks continued. "The family would have been able to talk, would have been able to discuss whatever they wanted to discuss. And, how nice is it that finally there's some sort of reconciliation with the family?

"I do hope that the same will happen with the brothers. I do hope that the Prince of Wales may do the same at some point. We don't know quite when Harry's going. It's been very quiet from their side. We haven't had, 'This is what they're doing next, this is what they're doing after that'. The palace actually confirmed after they'd been at Highgrove, that they were going to Highgrove, so it's nice to see that it's not coming from Harry."

Asked if the Sussexes may have flown in on helicopters, Stooks noted that while there are multiple fields for that purpose at Highgrove, he suspected that they'd driven to the royal residence. "They don't want to have this hassle of 'Now they're using the private planes to come in and now they're using the private helicopters to fly everywhere,' so they probably did fly in," Stooks replied.

"Then, there's a few ways to get into Highgrove, so they could have come in quite easily without being seen."

It was confirmed on Friday that King Charles and Queen Camilla had hosted Harry, Meghan and their two children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, at Highgrove. As it was a private meeting, no images of the family reunion are expected to be released.

A milestone moment for the family, their meeting marks the first time the King has seen his two youngest grandchildren in over four years, following their trip to the UK for Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022. The Sussex family are expected to spend the remainder of their trip at Althorp House with the Spencer family, where they will visit the grave of Harry's mother, the late Diana, Princess of Wales.
