Taylor Swift has just managed to upstage Meghan Markle and Prince Harry as she prepares to tie the knot with her fiancé Travis Kelce. The Bad Blood hitmaker has finally found a love story of her own with the NFL star, and the pair will wed tomorrow (July 3) at Madison Square Garden in New York City – with their nuptials costing more than Harry and Meghan’s royal wedding in 2018.

The 36-year-old pop princess is set to be joined by more than 1,000 guests, with American footballer Kyle Juszczyk adding insult to injury for the Sussexes as he admitted this week: “It is just excitement… it’s the royal wedding.” Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid and Zoe Kravitz are all expected to be in attendance, along with Ed Sheeran, Cara Delevingne and Ellie Goulding.

The ceremony means the venue will be closed for other events until July 7, with a custom-built stage being constructed for the wedding, which is costing a whopping £15million.

While Taylor is inviting around a thousand people, Meghan and Harry invited just 600 VIP guests to their own ceremony, which cost an eye-watering £32million. The Sun reports that the "sheer scale" of the reception will "dwarf" Harry and Meghan's.

Despite the lavish guest list, Taylor and Travis reportedly requested “absolutely no gifts” from attendees.

A source claimed to The Sun: “It is going to be the wedding to end all weddings. It’s just on a scale never seen before and it’s being planned with military timing.

“Guests will be ushered into the venue through an underground car park so they can get in and out without being seen, and there is strict security.”

They added: “The plan is to have loads of their celebrity friends get up to perform and make speeches.

“Taylor loves music so much and wanted that to be central to their big day. It’s going to be the most extraordinary concert of all time.”

A permit has been filed, which will see the streets around the venue closed from July 2 until July 4 – but despite that, thousands of fans are expected to show up at the venue.
