Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was stabbed to death in London. Emergency services were called to Crystal Palace at 3.39am on Sunday to reports of a stabbing. Metropolitan Police officers arrived at the scene on Westow Hill to find a man in his 30s with serious injuries.

The London Ambulance Service also attended, and the man was treated on the scene before being hospitalised with injuries not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. Officers then located another man, thought to be in his 30s, in the same area with stab wounds.

Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man who remains in hospital has now been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee, who is leading the investigation, said: "Our officers responded quickly alongside the London Ambulance Service, who did everything possible to help the victim.

"This is a fast-moving investigation and residents in Crystal Palace will continue to notice an extensive police presence today as our enquiries continue.

"There are a number of scenes in place, and I encourage anyone who may information or concerns to contact us."
