Meghan Markle appears to have a remarkable ability to make people turn against her, but it's Prince Harry who seems to be suffering the consequences most. A new report has revealed that Meghan has been ditched by her A-list pals, and it has to sting. After all, cast your mind back eight years when Hollywood royalty was lining up to watch the Duke and Duchess of Sussex exchange vows.

But it appears even Hollywood has grown tired of Meghan's money-making schemes and constant brand promotion. A source told Daily Mail: "Oprah was tarnished by her association with them. The interview she did in 2021 was so soft and she didn't push back on anything said, so she was seen as a sycophant rather than a great interviewer."

I think Oprah can take the responsibility for that one, firstly for agreeing to conduct the interview and secondly for sitting back and asking no meaningful follow-up questions when Meghan accused the Royal Family of racism.

But Oprah isn't the only one who is reportedly distancing herself. George and Amal Clooney are also said to "want nothing to do" with the Sussexes anymore. An insider has even claimed The Clooneys never regarded themselves as real friends of the couple.

At this point, it's constantly humiliating for Harry and Meghan, and no one can say they didn't see it coming.

I personally agree with Sky News Australia presenter Danica De Giorgio, who said: "I'm not surprised that the circle of friends are trying to move away because everything Harry and Meghan does is about brand Harry and Meghan.

"It's never about everybody else."

Broadcaster Andrew Eborn agreed that the Sussexes have been "snubbed and shunned" from Hollywood. And Meghan does little to help herself, as Andrew quite clearly pointed out.

"Meghan is now making sure you can click on your clothes and you can buy that very same dress and she'll get a kick back from it," he said.

She demonstrated this during her recent visit to Australia, where she met victims of the Bondi Beach terror attack.

The Sussexes ensured cameras captured emotional moments as they listened to victims' stories, yet the sincerity inevitably came into question when Meghan was simultaneously monetising the very clothes she was wearing.

"The reason she's mixing with these A-listers is because she can financially benefit as a result of it," Andrew added.

But Meghan has taken it so far that the fallout appears to stretch far beyond Hollywood.

The couple has now been snubbed from Harry's cousin Peter Phillips' wedding to his fiancée Harriet Sperling, which is expected to be attended by several senior members of the Royal Family.

That alone tells you everything you need to know. Reports suggest Peter does not want Harry stealing the headlines, and can anyone blame him?

Whenever the Sussexes show up at an event, it immediately becomes about them. And knowing Meghan's past history, I wouldn't put it past her turning up in a white dress.

Then there is the increasingly toxic relationship between Harry and Prince William, who reportedly "despises" his brother. I doubt there was any part of William that believed inviting Harry was a good idea.

If he is willing to step in and ensure his brother does not attend a royal wedding, then I fear there is absolutely no way back for Harry and no realistic path for him to reunite with the Royal Family.

You have to feel slightly sorry for him. He has become estranged from his family, isolated in a new country and shut out from royal life.

Of course, a large part of that is the result of his own decisions. But the more Meghan becomes alienated from Hollywood, the more the couple risk retreating behind the gates of their Montecito mansion with little left for them beyond their shrinking circle.
