Cannes Film Festival is back for its 79th edition of the famous event, and celebrities are stepping out in bulk to celebrate the world’s most prestigious cinema event. A magnitude of artistic screenings are shared at the event, ranging from classics from the past, big budget US blockbusters - which do not compete for awards - and the main competition to get the festival’s top award, the Palme d’Or.
While it’s all about art cinema, the celebrities in attendance also use it as a prime excuse to get dressed to the nines, with Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field proving exactly that as they dolled themselves up for the evening. Robbie was seen in an all-black suit, a black shirt beneath with the collar wide open, and a cream boutonniere.
Meanwhile, his wife Ayda also went for a wide-open chest as her dress cut to her midriff, while the sheer black spotted fabric covered from head to toe, only to erupt into feathers at the bottom.
Actress and producer Eva Longoria was also on the carpet in a glamorous red gown, complemented by a bold statement necklace. Longoria is always at the luxury event, maintaining a 20-year relationship with the festival, which has been closely tied to her partnership with L’Oreal Paris, an official partner of the event. Eva was joined on the carpet by Penelope Cruz, who wore an all-black gown with a black-and-white scarf tied around her waist. Celebrities, including Rami Malek, Maura Higgins, and Ed Westwick, were also seen on the carpet.
