BBC actor Noel Clarke has shared a heartbreaking update as he paid tribute to his cousin, who passed away last month. He posted a series of photos on Instagram mourning the tragic and sudden passing of Krista at the age of 26, along with a heartfelt message that started with "RIP Cousin Krista. I love you so much."
Fans also took to the comments to show support to Noel. The Doctor Who and Kidulthood star penned: "I just want to tell the world what a genuinely beautiful soul you were. Unfairly, you've been taken from us, but I know that the place you've gone will be a better place for having you.
One photo showed Noel and Krista wearing Blue Jays jerseys while watching a baseball match at Rogers Centre, Toronto. He continued: "Whether showing you around London or being with you in Canada, where you and your sister loved my boys, you always smiled. This all happened so quickly, and I wish I could have done more. I wish you could have done more in your 26 years.
"The last 48 hours, all I’ve thought is 'Why Krista? I can think of 100 people that I’d have put this on instead of you...' But souls like yours are so wonderful, so pure, so rare, I can only think you were needed elsewhere. The family loves you. I hope you know how much you will be missed by all of us, how much you are loved by all of us, how much you meant to all of us.
"Daughter, Sister, Niece, Cousin, My Baby Cousin. Krista, I love you. Rest in Peace." The post has drawn near 700 comments, with a fan commenting: "Stay strong, Noel. So sorry for your loss. Beautiful words to send her on a beautiful journey beyond what we know as yet."
"Sorry for your loss and that of your family. Love, thoughts and prayers to you all at this sad, sad time," a person said, and another added: "This is beautiful. The words of this song are so appreciated. Until we meet again, Krista."
A woman who claimed Krista grew up in her mum's home daycare also shared: "I've been so angry with god since I found out her prognosis. How unfair to live a life of joy and desire to help others, and when she finally got her degree, this happens? Months of suffering, and then a beautiful soul taken. I will never understand."
