Aldi has urged shoppers to “be quick” after unveiling a new £70 ice cream machine that it says is expected to spark a buying frenzy when it lands in stores later this month. The budget supermarket is launching the Ambiano Ice Cream Maker as part of its latest Modern Kitchen range, with the appliance priced at £69.99. Available from July 16, the retailer warned that, like many Specialbuys, it is only available while stocks last.

The machine is designed to whip up homemade ice cream, sorbets and frozen yoghurt in as little as an hour, making it a timely arrival as Britain heads into the height of summer. Aldi said the appliance features a built-in compressor, meaning there is no need to pre-freeze a bowl before use. It also has four operating modes, a keep-cool function that can maintain frozen desserts for up to an hour after they are made, and a one-litre capacity.

The retailer said users can customise recipes with their own ingredients, whether creating classic vanilla ice cream, fruit sorbets or frozen yoghurt.

The launch forms part of Aldi's latest kitchen range, which also includes a Retro Kettle for £24.99, a Retro Toaster for £29.99 and a Dual Basket Air Fryer priced at £79.99.

Aldi is expecting strong demand for the ice cream maker and has warned shoppers not to delay if they want to get their hands on one.

The supermarket said the machine is "set to cause a frenzy" when it arrives on shelves, adding that customers will need to "be quick" because, as with all Specialbuys, once the stock has gone, it will not be replenished.

The Ambiano Ice Cream Maker goes on sale in Aldi stores nationwide from July 16, with availability limited to remaining stock.
