Piers Morgan has ripped into Prince Harry yet again with a brutal two-word nickname, after the Duke of Sussex accepted an invitation to stay at Buckingham Palace when he visits the UK – only to have it rescinded. Harry replied too late to the deadline for a room to be arranged for him, meaning although the palace will happily host him next time, he will not be able to stay with his father King Charles when he visits this week.
Piers shared two headlines from BBC News about the ordeal, the first of which read: “Prince Harry has accepted invitation to stay at Buckingham Palace during London visit, his spokesperson says.” The second, by contrast, said: “Buckingham Palace says Prince Harry will not be staying at palace shortly after his spokesperson said he would.”
On X, Piers wrote: “Life comes at you fast when you’re an entitled pr***.”
Previously, when it was announced that Meghan Markle, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet would not join Harry in the UK this week, Piers sarcastically penned: “*Really* excited to hear further updates in this gripping will-they-or-won’t-they drama!” with a yawn emoji.
Royal editor Chris Ship tweeted this weekend: “As we reported earlier this week, Harry is serious that the threats against him in the UK are so credible that he will not travel to London with Meghan and their children, Archie and Lilibet. They might, however, join him for UK events OUTSIDE London."
But an unimpressed Piers replied: “So the supposed terror threat level disappears if they go to Birmingham rather than London? Come on, Chris..."
When it was first revealed Harry would have no police protection provided by the taxpayer, Piers responded with just one word: “Good.”
