
A young woman has died after a skydiving incident in the UK today. Police confirmed the woman, 22, was found in a field near Langar Airfield, Nottingham, and pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident took place this afternoon (Sunday, 5 July) at around 12.13pm. The woman's family have been informed and will be supported by specially trained officers, Nottingham Police added. No one else was hurt and a file will now be prepared for the coroner.
Detective Inspector Rachel Mayfield, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "This was a tragic incident, and we are working with partners to understand what happened.
"As our investigations continue at the scene, our thoughts are with the woman's family and everyone else who has been affected by this incident."
