Dutton Ranch has wrapped up its first season, and viewers are curious about whether there will be more. The Yellowstone sequel has been a hit with audiences and follows the lives of Beth Dutton (played by Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (played by Cole Hauser) as they forge a new path on a ranch in Texas.
However, the ghosts from the past in Yellowstone continue to haunt them as they try to protect themselves. There are also rivalries from another ranch and others with their own interests that could threaten Rip and Beth. With Season 1 coming to a close, here’s a look at the future of Dutton Ranch.

Yes, is the short answer. Paramount gave the series the green light recently, shortly before Dutton Ranch wrapped up broadcast.
In a statement from the streaming platform, the President of Paramount Television Studios Matt Thunell said: "Dutton Ranch has resonated with audiences in a powerful way, building on the legacy of beloved characters, while establishing its own identity.
“Thank you to our partners at Paramount+ and 101 Studios for a phenomenal first season. We look forward to bringing fans more stories from these unforgettable characters in Season 2.”
The renewal should be no surprise given Dutton Ranch was Paramount+’s biggest original series launch in its history.
There’s no word yet on when Dutton Ranch Season 2 will be airing and it will depend entirely on when production starts.
Following the departure of Dutton Ranch’s creator Chad Feehan not long before its launch, the show will be looking for a new showrunner to lead the drama.

WARNING: Spoilers below for Dutton Ranch Season 1, episode 9
British actress Reilly and American star Hauser are expected to return as lead characters Beth and Rip respectively.
Other main players expected to be reprising their roles are Finn Little as Beth and Rip’s adopted son Carter Green, Ed Harris as Everett McKinney, and Annette Bening as 10 Petal Ranch owner Beulah Jackson.
Meanwhile, supporting cast members expected to be coming back include Juan Pablo Raba as Joaquin Jackson Reyes, J. R. Villarreal as Azul Ramos, Marc Menchaca as Zachariah Moss, and Natalie Alyn Lind as Oreana Lynn Jackson.
Jai Courtney won’t be returning after his character Rob-Will Jackson was shot dead.

Season two will pick up from the explosive ending to the first series, which saw Beth and Rip trying to save their kidnapped son, Carter.
Carter had been taken by Mariano, who told them to prepare because war was coming, so this will be playing into the next series.
Meanwhile, Beulah is also going to be reeling from the death of Rob-Will and could retaliate.
Again, audiences will have to see how the fallout from the Season 1 finale plays out.
