A huge fire has erupted in Rhyl, with thick black smoke filling the sky that can be seen for miles around. Crews are battling the at an industrial unit on Ffordd Las.
Locals have reported that a vehicle fire had spread to a nearby unit, according to North Wales Live, with people living near the site reportedly evacuated. Pictures from the scene show huge clouds of black smoke rising high into the evening sky in the UK town. One person reported that residents living close by had not been able to return to their properties due to the cordon in place.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service has released a statement, urging people to close their windows and doors, and to avoid the area while firefighters tackle the blaze.
A spokesperson said: "Crews are currently in attendance at a fire at a property on Ffordd Las, Rhyl.
"Local residents are asked to close windows and doors and keep away from the area while firefighters tackle the fire."
