
The spokesperson said: “I can confirm The Prince and Princess have been deeply concerned by the continuing revelations. Their thoughts remain focused on the victims.”
Now, a royal author has claimed that the future King is furious about the buck-passing involving Andrew.
Royal author Andrew Lownie told the i Paper: “[William] is annoyed and frustrated that the buck keeps being passed on the Andrew issue – that the Queen passed it to Charles, and Charles has had three years to address this, and hasn’t really done it. There’s some tension about that.”
Mr Lownie added that the King “feels his obligation to his relatives” but has his owns “skeletons in the closet” which has resulted in keeping the former Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh “inside the tent”.
But according to the author, “William doesn’t care about any of that”.
The newspaper said Kensington Palace noted that the King and the Prince and Princess of Wales are “in lockstep”.
They added: “The Prince and Princess have been deeply concerned by the continuing revelations. Their thoughts remain focused on the victims.”
Mr Lownie said: “I think he [William] is cleaner than the others and the tension is that he wants a clean stable when he moves into the role of king.”
Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing.
