Now, Coleen has opened up about the mum-of-one's love life and confessed that it may still be too soon for the TV presenter to move on. Reflecting on her experience on Celebs Go Dating, The Nolans singer told Woman's Magazine that she would love to see Ruth take part in the show and find "someone gorgeous".
She told the outlet: "Oh my God. I'd love to see her on the show! I'd just love her to meet someone gorgeous that she deserves." But after her own divorce, Coleen admitted she understands why Ruth is taking things slowly since her split.
Nolan added: "I think she's a way off, though. I couldn't have done that straight after my divorce. No way. For four years after I got divorced, the last thing I wanted was anyone. I loved my freedom.
"That took a good three or four years, and I think Ruth might feel like that. But God, I'd love her to do the show. If she asked me, I'd be like, 'Absolutely do it, it's brilliant'. I really wanted to do it, but I didn't expect it to be as good as it was."
Ruth has previously opened up about the prospect of finding love again in the future. During an appearance on Heart Radio on Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston's breakfast show, she revealed she would prefer any future romance to happen naturally and ruled out using dating apps.
She told listeners: "I want to do it the old-fashioned way. You know, that I might just walk out of here, bump into somebody and go, 'Oh sorry' and then find myself having a coffee with them. I don't know, but I won't be swiping anyone."
Earlier this year, Ruth opened up to the Daily Mail about her separation from Eamonn, admitting she was "broken" and blindsided by it. She told the outlet: "In my opinion, I had a very happy marriage. Of course, you question yourself, did I miss something, was I not aware, was I too busy? But there's no point playing the blame game.
"I just didn't think I'd find myself here, and I wasn't strong at the start. I was broken. Broken heart. Broken dreams. We all have an image of how we think our life and future is going to be. This wasn't mine."
