
A body has been found in the search for a missing man in Devon following a four search. Robert Sutton, 38, was reported missing at around 7.40pm yesterday evening, Saturday May 16 in Paignton, a seaside town on the coast of Tor Bay.
Police, HM Coastguard and the RNLI conducted searches of the area. At around 11.45pm the body of a man was found off Hollicombe Beach. Formal identification is yet to take place but the man's death is not believed to be suspicious.
Robert’s family have been made aware of the discovery. A file will be prepared for the coroner.
Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Emergency services searching for 38-year-old Robert Sutton, who had been reported missing from Paignton on the night of Saturday 16 May, have found the body of a man.
"Robert’s family have been informed of this development. Police, HM Coastguard and the RNLI conducted searches of the area after Robert was reported missing at around 7.40pm.
"The body of a man was found off Hollicombe Beach at around 11.45pm. Formal identification is yet to take place. The death is not believed to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
