Tess Daly and Vernon Kay announced their split earlier this month and now, weeks later, they've been pictured out together as they partied with friends at an event. In the announcement of their break-up they vowed that they would stay good friends, and they seem to be keeping true to their word and ensuring they're still around one another in public. However, that doesn't mean it's plain sailing. It seems the pair still have some layers of awkwardness they need to move past, and their concerns are coming through.
Body language expert Inbaal Honigman, in collaboration with casino.org/uk spoke to Express.co.uk and analysed the photo as she said: "Tess and Vern's most recent photo together reveals how they both feel when they're together in public, and it is a struggle. First of all, the fact that they've chosen to pose together while placing a friend between them, indicates that they're no longer relying on each other."
She continued: "This person between them prevents them leaning on each other in support. They're not leaning towards one another, which would have shown support, nor are they leaning away from each other. They're not a couple anymore and are not each other's top priority anymore."
Inbaal noted that with the two of them not looking in the same direction, they're suggestive that their lives are "not leading them down the same path anymore".
She added: "Vern's eyes are inching towards Tess, as if he's curious about what she thinks and feels. Tess doesn't return the gesture, revealing that she's more focused about herself and not her famous ex." But it appears there's stress emerging too.
Inbaal explained that both of them appeared to have furrowed brows which "indicates worry". She added: "The beautiful ex-couple are both suffering with feelings of unease when they're together in front of the cameras.
"Their mouths may flash big beams, but their eyes tell a different story. They are smiling with their lips only. Tess and Vernon are finding those first few weeks of being exes in the public eye, to be challenging. They're not really happy yet, as being apart is hard on them, and they both seem concerned and low. They may be worried for each other or perhaps about the future."
Their split came as a huge shock to fans, but the pair said in their statement that they will remain friends and no other parties are involved.
