Sir David and Victoria Beckham's net worth ranks second only to Bernie Ecclestone amongst the world's wealthiest sportspeople. Their £1.185billion fortune sits just beneath half that of the Formula One Group founder's £2billion, but comfortably surpasses Barry and Eddie Hearn.

Sir David accumulated hundreds of millions both on and off the field throughout his two-decade playing career, following collaborations with brands such as Adidas and HandM. Those same commercial agreements have continued for several years following his retirement.

Football also constitutes a significant component of Sir David's growing business empire. He co-owns two clubs, Inter Miami and Salford City.

Exercising an option from his LA Galaxy contract to purchase a Major League Soccer expansion franchise for £18.5million has demonstrated remarkable profitability. Eight years following the club's co-foundation, they are valued at approximately £900 million.

Around that period, he originally acquired a 10 per cent stake in Salford. Sir David spearheaded a takeover of the League Two outfit last summer alongside Gary Neville, purchasing the remaining stake from the Class of '92.

Football remains prominent in his brand collaborations, including with Pepsi, and he regularly features in advertising campaigns alongside current players. Furthermore, he maintains partnerships with Hugo Boss and Stella Artois, amongst others.

Sir David's documentary production company also made a film about his life, which proved enormously popular worldwide on Netflix. They also produced a docuseries about Victoria, one of several programmes in which she has featured throughout the years.

The former pop star initially amassed her wealth as a member of the Spice Girls before transitioning into fashion design. She runs her own fashion label, which has recently turned a profit following years of mounting debts and losses.

Victoria also operates a beauty brand, originally centred on eye makeup, which has since expanded into a range of lip products. She maintains a presence in department stores throughout France and the United Kingdom.

The Beckhams are not the sole footballing family to feature on this latest rich list. Harry Kane narrowly breaks into the top ten with a net worth of £110million, level with Sir Andy Murray.

Behind the Hearns in fourth place is Gymshark co-founder Ben Francis on £800million, ahead of fellow sportswear entrepreneurs Tom and Phil Beahon in sixth on £350million. Sir Lewis Hamilton is another F1 driver to appear on the list, boasting a fortune of £435million.

Rory McIlroy claims seventh place on £325million, bolstered by securing back-to-back Masters titles. Anthony Joshua pips boxing rival Tyson Fury to eighth spot, with his £240million fortune edging ahead of Fury's £162million.
