Weeds will disappear overnight thanks to a £14.99 Aldi gadget which shoppers are racing to get their hands on. The middle aisle favourite is drawing attention for one simple reason: it gets rid of weeds quickly without the usual hassle, cost, or back-breaking effort.
Instead of spending hours bent over pulling unwanted growth or using chemical sprays, the Ferrex Weed and BBQ Burner does the work for you in seconds. The device uses intense hot air to scorch weeds down to the root, with temperatures reaching roughly 650°C. Users simply direct it at the plant and the heat does the rest, with visible results in as little as five seconds.
It also includes a stainless steel heating tip designed to target the root system beneath the surface, helping stop regrowth and reducing the chance of weeds coming straight back.
Beyond gardening, it doubles as a BBQ lighter and a general hot air tool, meaning it can also strip paint, loosen stuck adhesives and even assist with plastic repairs.
Aldi says the product offers a chemical-free alternative to traditional weedkillers, making it a more environmentally conscious option for keeping outdoor spaces tidy.
It is due in stores and online from Thursday, May 7, but stock will be limited. As with most Aldi Specialbuys, once it sells out, there is no guarantee it will return.
