Police have launched an investigation after a body was found near a yacht club. The tragic discovery was made on the shoreline in the town of Grays by a member of the public, who alerted Essex Police.
Officers were called to Thames Road at around 9.25am on Saturday, February 21. An investigation is now underway, and police have put a cordon in place. Essex Police remain at the scene, with photos from the area shared with Essex Live showing a large police presence.
At least three police cars were seen in attendance earlier today, the news outlet reports.
