
The Met Office has issued weather warnings for 132 areas throughout the UK as the country continues to be battered by snow and ice. The massive yellow weather warning for ice which covers large swathes of England, Wales and Scotland will come into place at midnight, January 7 and will remain until 10am.
The forecaster warns that during the 10 hour weather warning is due to the likelihood of icy patches occuring overnight into Wednesday morning, this could lead to some disruption. A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "Following a band of precipitation which clears southeast overnight, clear skies will develop for many areas on Tuesday night will lead to icy patches on untreated wet surfaces."
