A huge fire has erupted at a high-rise tower block, with emergency services rushing to the scene. The blaze is ongoing at Calder Court in Whifflet, Coatbridge. Residents have been evacuated.
Huge flames were seen tearing through a flat towards the top of the tower block. The cause of the fire is currently unknown. The Daily Express has contacted the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Police Scotland for comment.
