The M25 was partially closed on Saturday afternoon following a car fire. National Highways said the motorway was closed clockwise between junctions 25 (Waltham Cross) and 27 (M11).
The Essex Fire Service attended the scene, and a diversion was put in place for motorists in the area. More traffic woes for drivers on the M25 were recorded today between junctions 16 and 17, where National Highways recorded "severe" congestion.
